Pennsylvania aging secretary, Area Agency on Aging heads highlight new agency oversight program

Sara McDonald, director of the Lackawanna County Area Agency on Aging, which piloted the program, said data from the program gives them information about who they serve, where needs are changing, where gaps exist and whether existing strategies are moving them to better outcomes for the older adults they serve.

Protecting Seniors Online: Think Before You Click FREE Webinar

Older adults are increasingly being targeted by financial fraud, including impersonation scams, phishing emails, and other schemes designed to steal personal and financial information.

To help protect this vulnerable population from online scams, the Pennsylvania Office of Homeland Security, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office, is hosting a virtual workshop on cybercrime prevention.
